Panchase is at the junction of Syangja, Kaski and Parbatc districts. A religious fair is held at Panchase Danda (2,517m) on the day of Balachartudashi. Hilltop has Siddha Baraha,Panchsheel Buddha, Kuti, Barahi Temple, Panchkoshi Lake, heritages along with biodiversity center and other heritages.
Thini village is seated in the lap of the Nilgiri Himal towards the south of Jomsom Bazaar. There are 100 houses in the Thakali village of Thini located in Mustang of Gharpjhong Rural Municipality-5.
Thini (2,862 m) is confluence of nature, culture and history and can be called a 'hidden diamond'. Delicious food and intimate behavior are the characteristics of Thini.
There are many treasures worth visiting in Thini area. It includes Dhumbatal, Kuchap Terenga Gumba, Gharapzhong Fort, Yaruzhu View Point, Thakali Museum, Leopard Cave, Namkulekh, and community apple orchards can be visited. Thini is one of the alternative trekking trail in Annapurna region. As the motorable road from Jomsom to Muktinath is connected, trekkers now can walk down from Muktinath to Marpha village via Lumbra and Dhumbatal.
Delicious food and friendly behavior are found in the village. There are three hotels in the village and 12 houses have homestay facilities. Homestay was launched in 2018 which has has 48 beds. Being the first Thakali community homestay in the country, Thini is model destination of Thakali culture. Tourists can observes the Thakali's culture including yak dance in the village.
Access
Kathmandu-Beni 282 km reachable in 9 hours by bus. Beni-Jomsom 75 km, 6 hours by bus. Or Pokhara-Jomsom flight 18 minutes and Jomsom-Thini is 2 km. Jeeps and motorbikes are accessible to the village. It takes 30 minutes on foot to reach Thini from Jomsom.
