Namje village (1,640 meters) in eastern Nepal was listed by CNN as one of the twelve most to be visited villages in the world for natural and cultural activities in 2011. Namje Magar village is located in Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality-6 of Dhankuta district.
Organic food, Magar culture and a 'spirit house' are the features of the village. There is an amazing ' spirit house ' built by an American architect. The mass grave has been made by collecting stones from 213 graves where the bodies of Magar's ancestors are buried.
The villagers depend on agriculture. The village community homestay has 22 houses belonging to the Magar community with a capacity of 100 people. Homestay has been in operation since 2013. There are few hotels in the village. The original culture here is hurra dance. Cultural programs are shown according to the demand of tourists.
From the Namje homestay, one can visit Bhedetar, Namaste Jharna, Buddhist Bihar, Janajati Park, Pathibhara Temple, Okhre View Tower, Dhojedanda, historical importance Sangurigadhi, Rajarani and other places.

Kathmandu-Dharan 550 km, 12 hours by bus or 35 minutes by air. Biratnagar-Dharan 40 km, 30 minutes by bus. Dharan-Namje is 21 km.
