Lwang Ghalel village (1450m) is on the lap of Mardi Himal trekking trail. There are 120 houses of Gurungs, Dalits and Brahmins communities in the village. Ghalel lies in Machhapuchhre Rural municipality-8, Kaski district. Ghalel is already known as an adventure and religious tourist destination.
Snow-clad mountains like Mardi, Machhapuchhre and Annapurna can be seen from the village. Mt. Fishtail is colorful when the sun rises and sets. Taare Barah, Mahaguru Cave, Gumba, Temple, Asala Fish, Canyoning and Gurung Lifestyle are main attractions of the village.
Canyoning activities is offered in Kudi river below Ghalel. Pokhara Canyoning organizes canyoning at four waterfalls of 12, 9, 75 and 45 meters height. Fresh river fish can be found in Mardi river. The taste of fresh river fish is mouth-watering. There are two hotels in the village and seven houses runs homestay facilities. Homestay has been started since 2010, where 35 beds are available in Gurung community homes. Meals and accommodation are provided in a family environment. Cultural programs are shown in the evening as per guests' demand. Cultural dances and singing are performed in the evening.
Lwang an other tourist village can be reached in an hour and half duration on foot from Ghalel village.

Kathmandu-Pokhara 200 km, 6 hours by bus or 25 minutes by air. Pokhara-Hemja-Ghalel 19 km. Ghalel bus and jeep can be found in Harichowk of Pokhara.
