Makalu, the fifth highest mountain on earth is an isolated four-sided peak on the border between Nepal and Tibet (China). It was first scaled by an American expedition in 1954.
Trekking to Everest is a wonderful time to enjoy some of the best mountain sceneries on earth and meet the famous ethnic people of Sherpa and. An interesting flight in the mountains will take you to the Everest Trail and the alpine world. You can reach perhaps the highest viewpoint in the world to view some of the most brilliant views of mountains including Mount Everest. It is a learning opportunity to observe the alpine of life and the Buddhist way of life. Mani walls (prayer wheel) and chhorten and monasteries are seen during the trek. Sacred lakes, waterfalls, and glaciers would meet you regularly during the trek. You will see highland people doing their daily life and observe how friendly people can be despite the challenges in the highlands and the basic amenities they have.
Barun Valley is a rich combination of isolated waterfalls, deep gorges, lush green forest and white icy peaks. The unique landscape, pristine ecosystem and relatively undisturbed human interference make the destination never-to-be forgotten.
Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and welcomed by a guide at the airport. Transfer to the hotel where the guide would brief the trekking program. You may have some time, depending upon your time of arrival, to explore areas near to the hotel.

After breakfast fly to Bhadrapur, a 45-minute flight to the east of Nepal, drive to Ilam (3 hours) or Phidim (6 hours).

Drive to Taplejung. Begin to trek. Gentle descent through the village and farm land. We can see the farms of barley, maize and potato on the way. We camp by the side of Tamor River in Mitlung.

Gentle ascend through the walking route along the river of Tamor. We will see children and meet local people on the way. Lunch in Tawa. We enter the Kanchanjunga Conservation Area Project and register into the trekking permit. Continue to trek to Chiruwa.
