A long ranges of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchchre, Lamjung and Manaslu Himal can be witnessed from the hilltop.
Panchase is known as the center of Orchid plants. Chitre village (1,700 m) is seated on its lap. It is located in Modi Rural municipality-8, Parbat District. There are 457 households of Gurung, Brahmin, Chhetri, Vishwakarma, Damai and Sarki communities.
Trekkers walks through this route to and fro while doing Panchase trek.
Chitre is a exquisite village, two hour uphill journey reaches hilltop of Panchase.
Other attractions of the village are monastry, temple, lake and cultural museums.
Community homestay was practiced in the village from 27th March, 2011 to develop it as pro-poor tourism model. It can accommodate 40 people in 8 Gurung community homes.
Homestay offers organic food, friendly hospitality in a cheerful atmosphere. Thado Bhaka, Sunimaya, Naumati Baja including cultural program are performed in the community hall in the evening upon guests' preference.
Access
Kathmandu-Pokhara is 200 km takes 6 hours by bus or 25 minutes by air. Pokhara-Dimuwa 56 km and Dimuwa to Chitre is 9 km. Jeeps are available from Dimuwa to Chitre village.
